  • 15% Analysis — references collection to work on the character
  • 15% Coaching and mentoring — sharing information with the team and trainees for learning purposes
  • 10% Checkup — check texture maps from retopologist, edits sending on the wireframe and bake, UV sets
  • 60% Fulfillment — clothes texturing, creating multiple character skins (clean, adventure, survival, horror + themed skins), props texturing, material and scene setup in Unreal Engine 5, shading adjustment.

Retopology Specialist (Remote, part time)

Position Purpose

Key Responsibilities

  • 10% Analysis — study of the reference grid and terms of reference
  • 20% Checkup — discussion of intermediate points with the manager in the process, exchange of information with other departments
  • 70% Execution — optimization of the primary grid,sewing details, adding thickness and inner walls, chamfers, loops, cuts to emphasize folds, distribution of skin to UV shells, alignment of UV edges, creation of overlapping by discussion with the manager, naming arrangement, baking in 8K with reduce to 4K, editing artifacts, preparing the final .spp file for transfer to the texture artist.
